History

Dennis Gabor College (DGC) was established in 1992 as a foundation. It was named by Dennis Gabor (1900-1979), a Hungarian born electrical engineer and inventor, who received the Nobel Prize in Physics for inventing holography. DGC operates as a private College accredited by the Hungarian government. Its more than 15 year experience in higher education, in vocational training and Information Technology and its more than 5 year experience in the international training is the guarantee for the high quality education. Our diploma is recognised worldwide as being among the most up-to-date, living qualifications, necessary for a career in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Our training is open and flexible. Full-time and correspondence courses can be chosen only in Budapest, and the distance learning can be taken up elsewhere by means of our ILIAS eLearning framework.

 

DGC was one of the first institutions in Hungary to provide distance education. The institution is also one of pioneers in the introduction e-education methods.
